On Sunday morning we torched a dozen car tires and some e-scooters at Jamnitzer Platz in Gostenhof with the help of 20 liters of gasoline. At the same time we attacked the public order office in Nuremberg with paint bombs and stones. In both places, what so many wish is now written in big letters: “Revenge for the 2 from Jamnitzer!”
On February 2, two people were sentenced in Nuremberg to 14 months in prison and 10 months with 3 years probation. The absurd sentence reasoning: the two are said to have yelled at police officers at Jamnitzer Platz in the summer of 2019. The fact that one of the convicted was demonstrably not even on site that evening shows the motivation behind the trial and its verdicts. A political trial was conducted and arbitrary state power was enforced in all its severity. The sentences were therefore not about a vocal and critical expression of opinion, but about everything that the Jamnitz stands for.
The Jamnitzer stands for the numerous moments of rebellion of the people from Gostenhof against the pigs and this state. It stands for powerful spontaneous demos and the common fight against rising rents in the neighborhood. But also for a solidary togetherness, warm nights relaxing at the fire without the pressure to consume. All this is a thorn in the eye of the city authorities, the public order office and the cops!
Anyone who does not fit into the system, criticizes, or dares to organize themself, is fought with all severity: since summer 2019, Gostenhof has been massively besieged by cops. The pigs from the USK terrorize everything and everyone who does not fit into their right-wing worldview. The siege of the Jamnitzer, the constant controls and the almost continuous presence of the cops in the neighborhood have consequences: more and more people simply don’t put up with the shit any longer and open their mouths. Be it at rallies, in conversation with the neighbors or in confrontation with the pigs.
All this became the doom of the two convicts! The cop terror did not cause the desired taming of Gostenhof, and now one of the heaviest weapons that the “constitutional state” has to offer is brought: jail! The message is clear: anyone who even comes close to disobedience will be punished harshly! To put a person in a dirty hole for 14 months and to deprive him of his freedom is a crime! We are not under the illusion that we can adequately repay this injustice. We will still let you feel our hatred, that’s for sure!

P.S.: Greetings to the people who last night, following a snowball fight at the Jamnitzer, let it rip with a big fireworks display and loudly demanded freedom for all political prisoners! All of Gostenhof hates the police!
