Solidarity means attack – Action for squats in Greece
On the 6th of January, we chose to open a banner amidst the crossroad of Liebig and Rigaer Strasse and attack a police car in order to show our solidarity with the threatened houseprojects in Berlin and the evicted squats in Athens.The banner says: „Solidarity with Squats in Greece – Revenge 4 Koukaki Eviction“.
When it was installed across the street, a patrol car arrived and was attacked and forced to flee with stones by the backup team.
There are some similar conditions for the anarchist movement in Berlin and Athens, for example the aim of the government to eliminate us and take our neighborhoods and occupied spaces. Despite the differences between the movement in Germany and Greece, the enememy is the same. The smell of garbage in uniforms is the same, the barriers of the prison is the same. Ultimately, the goal of these two states are the same,to eliminate the resistance of the fighting anarchist movements.
It is not easy to fight against a police force, which acts like an army with counterinsurgency and desinformation tactics. We agree very much with the quote of Sun Tzu, which we found in the claim of comrades in Athens, when they attacked targets on 6th December:
“When able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him. If he is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.”

This action took place in front of their door. The minions of the state might be everywhere in Friedrichshain, but they are not safe, if we follow more guerrilla tactics.
The squats are the goal at the moment as they are one of the most valuable tool for the anarchist movement. They represent the world of equality away from hierarchy, sexism and racism.
So, due to our „weakness“ in the street, we did this ambush to express our common struggle against capitalist violence. Maybe tomorrow we attack somewhere else. Or we suddenly appear with many people and turn a demonstration violent. If the squats, the migrants and the poor are not allowed to live their own way, we will not allow the society to rest in peace and boredom.

P.S. It was not by chance, that this action happened in the night of 6th to January 7th. In Dessau police station 15 years ago, the german police burned alive their prisoner Oury Jalloh inside a cell.
